At my first business, OLIVIA&CO., I was packing 60 to 80 orders a day. Every single one went out wrapped in plastic, and it bothered me more each week.

So in 2018 my husband Vik and I started Hero Packaging at our dining table. We wanted a mailer that could break down in a home compost bin, and nobody in Australia was making one we trusted.

Hero Packaging became Australia's first certified home-compostable mailer company. It grew from that table into a business shipping to customers around the world.

When Hero ran a $1.5 million crowdfund, 600 of the 700 investors were our own customers. That told me the marketing was working, and I wanted to show other founders how to do it.

I taught marketing at Macquarie University. In 2020 I wrote a book and sold more than 4,000 copies of it through TikTok. In 2024 Wiley published my second book, How to Sell Anything Online.

I founded Sell Anything Online to teach founders the marketing I use every day. More than 340,000 people now follow along on TikTok.
